HIGHER GROUND

Formerly a bakery, this site sits elevated amongst the gum trees in Red Hill. What appealed most to our client was the surrounding community of neighboring stores and residents of which she is one.Our design brief was to create a space that envelops every occupant and feels warm, free-flowing, and nourishing. Through the palette and materials, we aimed to create a space that disconnects you from your everyday world, with the only connection to the world beyond the room being a vista to the green treetops framed by all existing windows. The space would be one designed to welcome all.
